DRIVING to the Abacos - I always thought a boat should be like a car, whereas one could just jump in, start the engines and go. It has to be small enough to hit the beaches yet not too big to pull up to a government dock (no dinghy required). And of course hardy enough for five footers. This is the tale of just such a boat and my adventure. A solo journey over and back from Sarasota aboard my 26’ Glacier Bay Catamaran. (2000 + 2002 website)
