I just spent about 1.5 hours checking out your website, Sandy. Even though we had our first trip to Hopetown last year(our next is coming up in early August!), I found a ton of informative and interesting stuff from your trip reports and links. Just wanted to say thanks for helping me become more aquainted with the Abaco's.

Sandy....hi, my name is Tommy Jones and I am the Fire Chief in Griffin, GA.
We are located 40 miles south of Atlanta. I just wanted to write you and say thanks for such a great web site. I have been dreaming of the Abaco's for about 20 years and your site gets me a little closer. I am hoping that this will be the year that I get to travel to Green Turtle and some of the other islands. With job and family obligations, its been tough to put together a trip like that. ............................
Your details about the islands are so vivid that I feel like I am there right now. I appreciate how you have relayed to me the non-traditional stories and photos about the island life and culture. Your info has answered alot of questions that I had about Abaco and I cannot wait to discover them for myself. If you have additional photos or stories, I would love to have a look at them. I'm hoping we can make our trip there sometime late summer..................

The best advice I can give a first-timer is to go to www.motuiti.com/Abaco.html and read through as much of Sandy Estabrook's writings as you have time for- read about Guana (and look at pictures) then the other islands. He is a very nice man who will answer you if you write him with questions.-

How did it go? Amazing! Beautiful! Unbelievable! Too much fun! I am almost afraid to go back b/c I am scared the next trip will not be as magical as this one. But, guess what? I'll take that risk. The trip was awesome. I did post a short trip report on the Abaco message board but wasn't sure what or how much to post. I would have never had the confidence to book this trip without your help, Sandy. Funny, how in this strange, screwed up world, you could put your faith in a stranger you meet on the internet to help you plan a family vacation. We had a blast!!

We knew we wanted somewhere like the Abacos- quiet, beautiful, friendly. Your pages have just helped confirm that impression and made us all the more excited. Thank you!

I overheard a conversation (cell phone) by a boater who had been to Abaco Islands and was telling his friend how wonderful it was. I went online until I found your website. information. Then I had to convince my husband to go. We flew over to Elbow Cay for a week. Needless to say we did not want to come home.We rented a 20'boat and a golf cart. We snorkled every day, mainly at the parks. We island hopped and shopped.

Your website is very thorough and really tells one everything one needs to know before traveling to Abaco. We had a GREAT adventure and plan to return as soon as we save up some $. I love the pictures on your website, when I am working and want to let my mind wander back to vacation, I pull up your website. Thanks

Hi there!
I enjoyed reading your great introduction to Abaco and its little paradisio cays, although I must say--from the screen it's a challenge. I've strained my eyes trying to take it all in--especially those pages that are so light that they are almost illegible. But it was worth it!..........

I started this letter with the intention of inquiring about ferries and sightseeing these days with persons in wheelchairs. We have assumed that it was impossible in the Family Islands, but with your Ph.D in Abaco and environs there's no telling what new information you might have for elderly and handicapped travelers in those parts
.
In any case, it was a pleasure reading your generous descriptions of the sea islands my wife, Lee, calls her "favorite place in the world." And we have traveled for many years in five continents on lecture tours, international meetings, and leading small groups of students and clergy.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. Thanks for the things we never really knew about our "favorite place in the world." Thanks, most of all, for the memories, and for the sweet sadness of being reminded, once again, that our Bahama Days are about over at 86 years and several ills the aging flesh is heir to!

We only hope that our children and grands will some day enjoy the vacations in Abaco that we had in our younger years. We've certainly prepared them for it and your marvelous, high tech video increases the possibility! --------Gayraud Wilmore

We rented a house close to the public dock in White Sound, a 26' / 250 HP, and we cruised most of the Sea of Abaco. Loved it!! A dream come true! I have been to Abaco 6 times in the past three years and intend to increase that frequency, as I am trying to build on Lubber's. I bought the lot two years ago and just love all that Abaco represents. I am jealous of you and others that have been going for a good while.
